Over the course of the development of carp angling ,a period that spans the last five decades really we have been involved in so ground breaking products from the boilie roller (our first big break through ) to recently bivvy development . Some of our projects were relatively simple and a quickly turned round . Others such as Tom Wrights concept were far more difficult to solve but solve them we did. There is one thing that is evident in all tackle development ,two minds are better than one

Having been an avid carp angler since 1969 ( yes it really is that long ago ) , I have witnessed a massive change in all forms of angling but carp angling in particular . In the early years tackle just was not available, if you needed anything the only option was to make it yourself. I soon found that if I applied myself to something I generally found a solution and soon set up a small workshop where I was able to manufacture items for myself. This soon spiraled and before long I was making stuff for friends and relations . I have a very inventive mind and will not rest until I have solved a problem . Around 1980 a young man from Essex started mass producing items of tackle ,the rest as they say is history. Carp fishing exploded and with the ever increasing popularity of the sport companies were formed, some became multi national corporations whilst other fell by the wayside. As the sport continued to grow I became involved in consultation on products some were  straightforward others far more complex , but no matter what the problem by perseverance a solution was always found.

Unfortunately the 1990s saw a switch to products manufactured in China, these were mass produced in massive volume and cost of manufacture plummeted . So successful was the move to Chinese manufacture that the once proud and and successful UK manufacture and design, was decimated. The Chinese to their credit were not slow in realizing that there was a huge market in Europe for fishing items and factories began employing product developers . It soon became possible to jot a few ideas on a beer mat and send it to China to get it made. Along with this revolution many of the pioneers of tackle development fell by the wayside ( myself included ). The death of the British Carp Industry looked imminent , a few managed to survive but most fell from favor.

Fortunately Over the past 10 or so years the buying public have demanded that products no matter how cheap they are need to perform and more importantly last . this has seen a steady rise in companies seeking angler input into product development . With that in mind a service will be supplied to cater for this demand

What ever your product development question we will endeavor to help realize  your dream
